Donald Trump, the American business tycoon, took the oath of office in 2017. During his administration in the White House, “America First” has been the overarching theme of his policies. With the rising illegal immigration rates and the prioritization of American interests in the global economy, the president has aimed to address the illegal immigration issue by resorting to foreign policies. The US-China trade war has also been a quintessential part during his presidency. Starting in 2018, the US has imposed tariffs and other trade barriers to China due to their accusation of China’s unfair trade practice. One of the major assertions of the Trump administration to China is the theft of intellectual property, causing the US billions of trade deficit.

Throughout the three-day conference, delegates will be portraying one of the members of the Trump Cabinet, discussing issues regarding the US-China trade war and immigration policies, and attempting to reach the political objectives of his administration.
